Manchester United have rejected rumours that veteran defender Gary Neville is set to retire from football.
Internet rumours had claimed that the 35-year-old was set to hang up in his boots and take on a job as a pundit with Sky Sports ahead of the new season.
However, The Daily Mirror claims that club sources have confirmed that Neville's name was on the 'released' list at Old Trafford, but only temporarily.
At the time his name was included he was yet to sign a new one-year deal due to family holidays.
He has since signed that contract extension and will apparently be staying at Old Trafford for one more season at least.
